Combining a passion for the outdoors and years of experience in the clothing industry, tracking fashion’s environmental impact, Nathan Baller founded Abode Outside in 2020.

With the invaluable support of his fiancé Crystal, brother Jake, and other family and friends, he launched Abode Outside to provide exceptional, stylish, eco-friendly clothing at accessible prices—making sustainable shopping a reality for more people, and helping to reduce the industry's impact on the outdoors we all love.

Nate's love of the outdoors began with family trips into the Boundary Waters Wilderness.  These trips deep into nature sparked a love of the outdoors that grew over the years. After graduating with a degree in Political Science and a focus on Journalism, Nate was certified as a wilderness first responder and moved to Colorado thanks to the encouragement of his brother Nick, where he immersed himself in the outdoors.

In 2018 Nate studied sustainable clothing through the London College of Fashion. This valuable framework combined with a lifelong passion for the outdoors laid the foundation for what would become Abode Outside, an innovative clothing brand dedicated to nature.
